The 8th Annual Symposium on Refractories, Wuhan held successfully in October 2025

Oct. 21, 2025 - The 8th Annual Symposium on Refractories, Wuhan and the 15th China (Wuhan) Refractories Trade Fair were successfully held at Wuhan Milos International Hotel from October 18th to 20th, 2025. The three-day grand event brought together experts, producers, traders and users in the refractory industry chain from China, Austria, UK, France, Russia, etc., building an efficient platform for information exchange and supply-demand matching.
	
	 
	
This Symposium, themed "Innovation Leading · Green Development", focused on the cutting-edge of refractory materials and related disciplines, attracting over 500 experts, scholars and enterprise representatives from all over the country. Ni Hongwei, the Party Secretary of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony of the annual meeting and delivered a speech. The opening ceremony was presided over by Yuan Lin, the President of the Refractory Materials Branch of the Chinese Ceramic Society.
	
The 8th Annual Symposium is jointly hosted by the Refractory Materials Branch of the Chinese Ceramic Society and the National Key Laboratory of Advanced Refractory Materials of Wuhan University of Science and Technology. The annual meeting set up multiple sub-venues, where in-depth discussions were held on nine topics including "New Refractory Materials", "Refractory Materials for Steelmaking", "Comprehensive Utilization of Resources and Energy-saving Insulation Materials", etc. Many industry experts and guests shared their technical insights.
	
	 
	
The 15th China (Wuhan) Refractories Trade Fair was held concurrently with the 8th Annual Symposium on Refractories, jointly organized by Refwin and Wuhan University of Science and Technology. On October 18th, the day of registration for the Symposium, the Trade Fair had begun, with talks and coonumications kicking off between the attending refractory purchasers, experts and scholars and more than 120 exhibitors who have already completed their exhibition booths setup.
	
The exhibitors' product range covered a wide variety of categories including refractory raw materials, products, equipment and environmental protection technologies, comprehensively showcasing the latest achievements of the industrial chain. The exhibition site was filled with a lively atmosphere. Purchasers and exhibitors had face-to-face negotiations, engaging in in-depth exchanges on product performance, price trends and cooperation plans, and facilitating multiple cooperation intentions. Through the integration of online and offline channels, both suppliers and buyers achieve precise matching and information sharing, facilitating order fulfillment and helping enterprises reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance market competitiveness.
