Jan. 20, 2026 - On January 16, 2026, the Secretariat of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services of Brazil (Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria, Comércio e Serviços/Secretaria de Comércio Exterior) issued Announcement No. 2 of 2026. 

In response to the application submitted by the domestic Brazilian company ASK Crios Produtos Químicos Ltda on April 29, 2025, an anti-dumping investigation was initiated against phenolic resins (Portuguese: resinas fenólicas) originating from China.

The Mercosur tariff codes of the products involved are 3909.40.11, 3909.40.19, 3909.40.91, and 3909.40.99. The dumping investigation period for this case is from January 2024 to December 2024, and the injury investigation period is from January 2020 to December 2024. The announcement takes effect from the date of its publication.

Questionnaires will be sent to exporters/producers, importers, and other domestic producers. Interested parties should submit their responses through the SEI electronic information system within 30 days of receiving the questionnaire.

Interested parties may apply for a hearing within five months from the initiation of the investigation.
