Dec. 10, 2025 - According to China's customs data, from January to October 2025, China's cumulative imports of zircon sand and its concentrates reached 1.7744 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 22.17%, among which June saw the largest increase (134.66%), followed by March (105.89%), August (34.76%), April (26.08%) and January (10.94%), while the imports in May (-0.93%), July (-2.25%), September (-10.88%) and October (-6.32%) all showed a downward trend, with the decline being all smaller than the increase.

In terms of import origins, China imported 811,200 tons of zircon sand and its concentrates from Australia during the first ten months, 359,200 tons from South Africa, and 177,500 tons from Nigeria, and imports from most major origins showed a growth trend although to varying degrees, of which the imports from Nigeria rose by as much as 374.24% year-on-year.
